Frank Lampard wants to sign Champions League talent but could face a huge competition

Chelsea are keen on signing RB Salzburg striker Erling Braut Haaland, with Blues boss Frank Lampard believing he could form a deadly attack alongside Tammy Abraham in the future, according to Don Balon. Haaland scored the final goal of the game as Red Bull Salzburg beat Genk 4-1 in Belgium in the Champions League. His finish against Genk takes his season tally to 27 goals in just 19 games, during which he has also managed to notch up five hat tricks. However, the Blues could face huge competition, as Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund and other European giants are keen on to sign the player. Chelsea, meanwhile, could still be banned from making transfers during the January transfer window. Lampard revealed that Chelsea re expected to hear the result of their appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport over the transfer ban in coming days. The Blues had their hearing on November 20 and the decision is expected to be released before the next window opens on January 1. Source- TeamTalk
