Frank Lampard ready to make next signing with Petr Cech pushing for transfer

Chelsea are pressing forward with a bid to try and sign Edouard Mendy from Rennes this week as a replacement for the Blues goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga. The Blues have already signed six players during the transfer window - Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, Thiago Silva, Kai Havertz, Ben Chilwell and Malang Sarr. Now Frank Lampard's side are looking to sign a goalkeeper. A host of names have been linked with a move to Chelsea including Atletico Madrid's Jan Oblak, Ajax's Andre Onana, Burnley's Nick Pope as well as Rennes' Edouard Mendy.
