Frank Lampard makes Liverpool and Manchester United title admission ahead of new season

Frank Lampard has backed both Liverpool and Manchester United to battle for the Premier League title this season. Manchester City have already secured the record transfer of Jack Grealish, while Chelsea are close to bringing Romelu Lukaku to Stamford Bridge this summer. However, the former Blues boss believes there are two other clubs capable of lifting the league trophy this campaign. “I think you can’t discount Manchester United. They were not far-off last year and have gone again and I think brought in really impressive signings," Lampard said. Speaking about Liverpool's chances, he added: “I think Liverpool will be the same. “They missed huge players through injury for a big part of last season and the year before they were one of the best teams we’ve seen in the Premier League, so you definitely can’t discount those.”
