Frank Lampard hints at attacking signings

Frank Lampard has dropped a hint that Chelsea could sign attacker in January. The Blues suffered a disappointing defeat to Southampton on Boxing Day. When asked about Chelsea’s potential transfer activity in a post-match press conference, Lampard said: “I learn about the players, and I learn about the players particularly in games like that. “Players have to go one-on-one if you’re an offensive player, play around the corner, mix up your game and break defensive lines because teams aren’t stupid. “You cannot have 70 per cent of possession and control, particularly the first half, and not do more, not hit better crosses, not hit better final passes, not get more clear chances at goal.” Chelsea have been linked with Jadon Sancho of Borussia Dortmund, Wilfried Zaha of Crystal Palace and Timo Werner of RB Leipzig.
