Frank Lampard gives his opinion on Marcus Rashford’s goal

Chelsea were looking for their eighth successive win with a Carabao Cup game at Stamford Bridge against Manchester United. Rashford’s free-kick winner gave United the lead with a penalty after Marcos Alonso fouled Daniel James and United beat Chelsea with a 2-1 score. Following the game, Lampard has spoken on Rashford’s goal. “It's great technique. We've seen Marcus Rashford hit balls with that technique before and whoever you are in the world they don't always go into the top corner, they sometimes go elsewhere,” said Lampard. “But you can't take it away from him that it was a great strike. At the time we had gotten ourselves level, were creating a lot of chances and I felt we were really in the ascendancy. I brought Mason and Pedro on to give fresh legs but when they got themselves in front they had a lead to defend and they did that.”
