Chelsea are seemingly ready to allow Olivier Giroud to leave in the January transfer window.
Giroud has been dismal this season and now Frank Lampard has added to the speculation with comments about Christian Pulisic.
Lampard handed the France international a rare start on Saturday against West Ham as a replacement for injured Tammy Abraham.
Speaking after the 1-0 defeat to the Hammers, Lampard hinted that Christian Pulisic could be an option to start up top for the Blues, all-but cementing Giroud’s place on the bench from now on.
“We'll see,” Lampard said after Saturday’s defeat to West Ham. “He's got an ability to run behind the line and to be sharp in central areas, which will naturally get him more goals. But I'm not going to say right now that's the solution. We'll see going forward.”
