France boss Didier Deschamps has revealed that Lucas Digne suffered a muscle injury on Wednesday evening.
The Everton defender came on at half-time in the French national side's 2-2 draw with Portugal, which was enough to send them into the knockout stages of Euro 2020 as group winners.
Unfortunately, the left back played just a few minutes before going down on the side of the pitch from what seemed to be an innocuous challenge, before looking visibly upset when being substituted.
In his post-match press conference, Deschamps admitted that Digne playing again for the rest of the tournament could be "very complicated.
“The most worrying is Lucas Digne. He has a muscle injury, he felt a pull behind his thigh. It will be very complicated (for the rest of the Euro)," said Le Bleus boss.
France, as mentioned, have qualified for the round of 16, where they will face Switzerland on Monday, June 28, at the National Arena, Bucharest, Romania.
