Four players who could leave Manchester City this summer due to Champions League ban

Manchester City have been banned from European football’s premier club competition. With the vast success, City have enjoyed since their takeover, they have never won the Champions League and it’s one of the main reasons manager Pep Guardiola was brought to the club. It is possible that some of City's star names could push for a move away despite Guardiola having already pledged his future to the club. Sergio Aguero Aguero has done so much for the club since his arrival in 2011. The Argentina international has stated he would not leave until City lifted the Champions League. Given the recent news, Aguero's deal ends in 2021, the fan favourite could exit the club this summer. Leroy Sane Many would claim that Sane would have left the club regardless of the ban. However, the ban could be the final hay for the Germany international. Bayern Munich are favourites to sign the winger, who according to reports is not happy at the Etihad. Aymeric Laporte Vastly considered as the second-best defender in the Premier League, Laporte would get interested from all major clubs around Europe. The France international is good enough to get into any Champions League side and will have to consider his options. However, a long-term deal until 2025 will play in City favour. Nicolas Otamendi The Champions League news may make Otamendi’s decision an easier one. The central defender is eager to finish his career at Argentinian side River Plate. At 32-years-old now and with no European football to keep him at the club, the defender could depart this summer. Source: Shoot
