Former Tottenham boss sends direct message to Harry Kane and makes goal tally prediction

Tim Sherwood expects Harry Kane to ‘go on a run’ of goal-scoring form after breaking his Premier League drought against Newcastle United. Spurs made their return to Premier League action with a 3-2 win at St James’ Park on Sunday, with Kane notching a goal and an assist for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.  Ex-Spurs man Sherwood admitted Kane will not be happy with his slow start to the campaign or playing catchup to stars Mohamed Salah and Romelu Lukaku, but insists he will hit a rich vein of attacking form now that he is off the mark in the Premier League. He said on Matchday Live on Optus Sport:
“He would have liked to have started quicker. He would have seen the likes of Mo Salah and Lukaku, even though he hadn’t scored in six, getting away from him.   “Harry will be quick to tell us that he has scored ten goals this season. And one in the Premier League. But that’s all the kick start he needs now. He will go on now and score 20 plus goals for Tottenham.   “Harry, I think you are up and running now. I think you will go on a run and there is somebody sitting opposite me [Alan Shearer] hoping that you don’t!”
