Frank Lampard has broken the silence one year after his Chelsea sacking.
The current Everton boss parted ways with the Blues back in January 2021, with Thomas Tuchel taking charge of the team.
Lampard has now opened up on the thoughts and feelings he had after the sacking.
"At first [leaving Chelsea] it was like 'what should I have done? What could I have done? Should I have dealt with that situation differently?' As a manager there will always be those. So many things happen," the manager said, via

"You can always look at mistakes but I also looked at the good things. The harsh factor is the fact that this is Premier League football at the top end."
"You go from thinking you're building something then there's a tough patch and somebody else takes that on."
He added:
"One of the most difficult things about leaving Chelsea was that I live in Chelsea so I couldn't get away. I got so much great words and sympathy, I appreciate it but it was like 'leave me alone for a minute'."
