Manchester United legend Darren Fletcher has compared one star to iconic players Cristiano Ronaldo and Eric Cantona. The Red Devils beat last year’s runners-up PSG 2-1. It was a special night for Bruno Fernandes, who got United started with a penalty in the first half as he wore the captain’s armband for the first time. Fletcher, who won five Premier League titles and a Champions League honour at Old Trafford, compared him to some legends of the club. Speaking to BT Sport , the former midfielder said: “It is not a great penalty the first one, it goes too close to the goalkeeper, he goes back to his hop, skip and jump, but credit to him. “He's the captain, and that could easily be a Eric Cantona or Cristiano Ronaldo, somebody having that belief in themselves that they missed a penalty at the weekend and missed a penalty there. But there was only one person taking that penalty there and that was Bruno Fernandes.”
