Five names on Manchester City transfer target short-list

Manchester City will be back in the Champions League next season, after CAS verdict. Following the announcement, several stars have been linked with a move to Etihad. City have already drawn up a list of targets and potential targets. The top priority in the next window will be a centre back, probably two, but the Blues are also looking at whether there is value in the market about a winger. Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake has been ruled out for the rest of the season and is likely to be available fairly cheaply if the Cherries go down. Ruben Dias, the 23-year-old Portugal international has been watched by City for some time. However, his last contract raised his release fee to an unrealistic £89million. Kalidou Koulibaly is thought to be City’s top target, and no wonder – he is big strong, quick and technically excellent. Ferran Torres, who is able to play in any of the front three positions, could be the perfect replacement for Leroy Sane. And the fifth player is Pau Torres. A £45million release clause makes this 23-year-old, 6ft 3ins Spain international centre back an attractive proposition. Barcelona and Chelsea have also been eyeing him up. Source: MEN
