Manchester United could well see several incomings in the summer transfer window. A new centre-back and a new striker are at the top of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's shopping list. Here are five free agents United could target to save millions. David Alaba is set to leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season. Any club signing Alaba will be getting a leading defender in his best years. Alaba is already said to have turned down a lucrative offer from PSG, and reports in Germany claim he is keen on a move to either Barcelona or Real Madrid in the summer. Memphis Depay underwhelmed in his first spell at United but he is now a consistent attacker at Lyon. He has scored 15 goals in 31 games. Barcelona are currently the favourites to land the 27-year-old after a move to the Nou Camp fell through last summer. Florian Thauvin has blossomed into an impressive attacker. He has proven himself to be a dangerous winger in Ligue 1. He missed the majority of last season with an ankle injury, playing just twice, but has regained fitness to net eight in 36 this season for an underperforming Marseille side. Julian Draxler is almost certain to leave PSG in the summer at the end of his contract after falling out of favour in the French capital. Able to play both in the centre of midfield and as an attacking midfielder, Draxler would take the pressure off Bruno Fernandes. Lionel Messi's future at Barcelona remains unclear. After his transfer request last summer, it remains to be seen whether Messi will remain at the Nou Camp. There will no doubt be plenty of suitors should he leave Barca, with Manchester City at the front of the queue, but United are one of the few clubs who could afford his wages.
