Fitness coach makes an interesting claim on Roger Federer

Pierre Paganini, Roger Federer's fitness coach, admits the player returns to clay-court as a child going on his first school trip. Ferderer is set to return to the French Open for the first time since 2015. The Swiss won his only Frenc Open crown in 2009 when he beat Sweden’s Robin Soderling to complete the career grand slam. The Swiss has not played at all on clay since the Masters 1000 in Rome in 2016 where he lost in the third round to Dominic Thiem in straight sets. “He is like a child going on his first school trip,” Paganini told Blick. “It‘s great to see this enthusiasm, it has a positive impact on the quality of the practice sessions. In Roger, the enthusiasm is always the same as ambition and vice versa. I think Roger can get great results on any surface. He goes to every tournament as if it were the first and the last.”
