First time in history Champions League and Europa League will have All-English finals

For the first time ever both the Europa League final and the Champions League final will be all-English encounters. Arsenal reached the Europa League final after beating Valencia 4-2 away from home. Hat-trick from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and another goal from Alexandre Lacazette secured a spot in the Europa League final where they will face Chelsea. The Blues sent Eintracht Frankfurt packing on penalties at the Bridge - following a 1-1 draw (2-2 on aggregate) after being made to sweat by the Germans. Meanwhile Liverpool will take on Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League final on 1 June at the Estadio Metropolitano in north-east Madrid, Spain. The all-English Champions League final looked extremely unlikely at various points over the course of the last two days though. However, Liverpool overturned a three-goal deficit at Anfield to knock out La Liga champions Barcelona and progressed to the final with a stunning 4-3 aggregate victory. What refers to Tottenham, the Spurs scored three goals against the Dutch side Ajax and the 96th minute goal by Lucas Moura sent Spurs through on away goals. The Champions League will once again determine the top club team in Europe. Will it be Liverpool, from England’s Premier League, or Spurs, from, England’s Premier League? The game will take place in Madrid on June 1, but given the participants it might as well be a routine November league match in London. Neither team is the reigning English champion, either: Spurs finished third last season, Liverpool fourth.
