Adrien Silva is waiting for the club's desicion: "We depend on other things, which in this case is Leicester City"

Leicester City midfielder Adrien Silva is waiting for the club's decision on his future. The Portuguese has struggled to adapt at King Power Stadium, since joining the English side for £24m back in 2017. He has spent past year-and-a-half playing on loan for French club Monaco. Now, as the French leagues have been cancelled, Silva's future is up in the air. The player has been linked with the move to his former side Sporting Lisbon, where he played a decade before joining the Foxes. Speaking about his future, Silva has revealed it depends on Leicester's decision. He told Portuguese news channel SIC Noticias: "Much has been said about it [returning to Sporting], a lot of news has come out, some not through my mouth, at other times, yes. I’ve never hid it that returning to Sporting was a possibility. But what we want is not always the final decision. We depend on other things, which in this case is Leicester, who have to decide if they want to bring me back in, continue to loan me or even let me go. Only after talking with Leicester will I be able to decide the next step to take. If it were up to me? Unfortunately, that is not the case. Things don't work like that in football, much to my regret and that of many athletes. After the conversation I will have with Leicester, I will be able to sit down with people I trust to be able to decide the next step I will take. With the experience, I learned not to think too much in the long run, because there are so many twists and turns that we end up suffering in anticipation. I will wait very patiently, prepare myself in the best way and continue to be happy. My desire is to be useful. I feel fulfilled playing and competing at the highest level and that is what I will try to do."
