Fernandinho may quit Manchester City for MLS transfer

Fernandinho admits he could quit Manchester City to join Major League Soccer. The Brazilian international joined City from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2013. He has won three Premier League titles and five League Cups and in May, will turn 35. Fernandinho only recently signed a new 12-month deal that will keep him at the Etihad until the summer of 2021. However, he has refused to rule out a move to the MLS and America in the future. He said: "Me and my family are settled (in Manchester). It's the nicest city - everyone has their passion for the game, they love football. "Since I was there, you can feel the love and respect from the fans. This is good, it gives you extra motivation to work hard on and off the pitch. I miss my country but at the end of the day I am doing my job. "But I've thought about MLS. It's some offer I would consider for the future for sure." Source: Daily Star
