Fernandinho explains how Manchester City will bounce back after Tottenham defeat

Manchester City midfielder Fernandinho insists the club will stick together after their 2 - 0 defeat to Tottenham on Sunday. The Citizens are sitting on the 2nd place of the Premier League table, and the last fixture has left them even more further from the leaders Liverpool. During the clash against Spurs the Blues have created many chances for scoring, however, ending with no result. Ilkay Gundogan's penalty was missed, while Aleks Zinchenko was sent off the pitch after getting a red card. Tottenham have secured their three points as Steven Bergwijn and Heung-Min Son scored the winning goals. After the fixture, Fenandinho has revealed the squad will stick together to succeed in the upcoming match against West Ham. He told ManCity.com: "The performance was good. We played the same way we've played this season by creating chances but at the end the result was not the one we wanted. Now we need to stick together as a squad. We created chances especially in the first half where we hit the post and in the second half we hit the bar. We also missed a penalty so it was a strange game. We had a chance to score at least three goals but we have to accept it. We have to get back to training and improve." Fernandinho has marked his 300th appearance with the Blues. Recently he has signed a new contract with the club. Speaking on his playing time in City, the 34-year-old added: "It's a huge achievement and I'm so happy. I'm really proud of my team to help me out. I am thankful to everyone at the club to help me achieve this and I am so grateful."
