Jesse Marsch spoke out about Dan James’ red card against Chelsea on May 11.

The Whites were down to 10 men, as the Welshman fouled on Mateo Kovacic and was sent off in the 24th minute at Elland Road.

The 24-year-old is set to miss all of the Whites’ relegation battle games vs Brighton (May 15) and Brentford (May 22) due to suspension.

Speaking on his post-match interview via Yorkshire Evening Post. Jesse Marsch admitted he’s not going to ‘blame anyone’.

“One thing for sure is, I’m not gonna sit here and blame anyone, okay? Our guys come every day and they do everything they can, they stick together, they fight for each other.

“Dan said he didn’t mean to do it. He was just trying to be aggressive to win the ball and caught him in a little bit in a bad way.”

“Dan feels terrible.”  added the American.
