Federer reveals how the future of tennis will look like once he, Nadal and Djokovic will retire

Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic are the biggest names in today’s tennis. It’s really hard to image the game without these three stars, however, one of them commented on how the future of tennis will look like. Twenty-time Grand Slam winner Federer feels confident, tennis will not be the same. "After all of us are gone, I think there might be a void for the Rafa, Djokovic or Federer fans, it's not going to be the same for them but the tour creates new superstars all the time. We have four Slams a year, World Tour Finals, the rankings, the Masters 1000s. Somebody has to win those tournaments and maybe it's gonna be nice to see different guys winning tournaments rather than always more or less the same guys. It's definitely been an amazing 10-15 last years for a lot of the fans who enjoyed following me, Rafa in particular. The game is bigger than other any player that has ever existed and it's gonna be okay. And I will still follow tennis in a big way", said Federer. The 37-year-old also explained the reasons that lead him to still compete at the highest level: "I also have to ask myself how do I stay motivated coming to interviews, how do I stay motivated going to the practice court, to the match. And I feel very happy that I can still play tennis. I actually see it as a privilege. I enjoy what I am doing, I have a family now and a great team around me, an amazing fitness coach that keeps me unbelievably fit, and happy to stay on tour and work hard and be successful."
