Fears Mohamed Salah could now miss four months of next season as Liverpool brace for 'catastrophe'

Mohamed Salah could be out of Liverpool's squad for up to four months next season, due to the postponement of the Olympic Games. Coronavirus pandemic has now prompted this summer's Olympics this summer after Premier League was shut down. Olympic games were supposed to take place between July 24 and August 9 this year and while they are now scheduled to take place in 2021. According to the Daily Star, the Olympics might take place in Spring rather than Summer which would come hot on the heels of the Africa Cup of Nations, which is due to be played in Cameroon between January 9-February 6 next year. Salah, who was already wanted by Egypt for Olympic duty, could be called up to represent his country in both competitions and therefore potentially miss a huge part of the Reds 2020/21 season.
