Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has provided a fresh update on Bayern Munich's pursuit of Kieran Trippier.
The Bundesliga giants have had a keen interest in Trippier for a significant time, however their attempts have not been successful so far. Earlier today it was reported that Bayern Munich have sent a new bid of around €15m to Newcastle.
Romano confirmed that the Magpies insist on their position and have rejected the German side's new bid. Eddie Howe's stance is that Trippier will not be sold in the current transfer window, but Thomas Tuchel's side remain interested with less than two weeks until the deadline.
The 33-year-old, who was the first signing of the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund (PIF) era at Newcastle in January 2022, completed a £12 million transfer from Atletico Madrid. While he may not be considered a long-term solution to Bayern's right-back concerns, he is esteemed for his professionalism and leadership qualities.
It remains a matter of question whether the Bundesliga giants can attract the Premier League power with a new bid.
