Fans poked fun at Rio Ferdinand over his comments back in February: “Ole is on the wheel”

Manchester United 1-0 defeat to Newcastle left them just two points off the relegation zone in 12th place. Matty Longstaff scored the only goal of the game as a shocking United performance saw them manage just three shots on target in 90 minutes. Following the game, fans on Twitter poked fun at former Red Devil Rio Ferdinand, for his comments made back in February, following United’s Champions League win over Paris Saint-Germain, when they reached the quarter-finals of the most elite club tournament in Europe. “Get the contract. Put on the table. Let him sign whatever number he wants to put give him that now. Let him sign the contract. Ole is on the wheel. Manchester United are back,” said Ferdinand.
