Chelsea star Cesc Fabregas must accept a huge pay cut in order to prolong his Chelsea career, according to the London Evening Standard.
The 31-year-old has dropped down the pecking order under new Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri following the summer arrivals of Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic.
Fabregas is currently one of Chelsea’s best-paid players on £160,000-a-week but Sarri’s side have no interest in even matching that.
The Spaniard’s current deal is due to expire at the end of the season and he has been linked with a move to AC Milan and return to Arsenal.
