EXCLUSIVE: World Cup 1998 winner on Henrikh Mkhitaryan: He sees himself at Arsenal. It is his club, he loves them and wants to play there for several years

Former Inter Milan star and World Cup 1998 winner Youri Djorkaeff has spoken out on Arsenal star Henrikh Mkhitaryan, his future at North London club and why he should be an example for young generation.

“I think Henrikh Mkhitaryan is an example for the young generation. When we watch him playing, we see, that he is an incredible player. But we should also take into account the hard work that he has done throughout his career to be paid off.” Djorkaeff told Vnews during exclusive interview.

“I think he is one of those players, that reached success due to his bravery and hard work.

“He had tough times while playing in Ukraine, but he managed to resolve his problems, move to Germany and improve. What he has done is worth respecting. I respect and love him and his family.”

Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been linked with a move to Inter, as his future at Arsenal has been uncertain. However, Armenian international has proved his class in recent matches. Arsenal’s #7 has scored 2 goals and contributed 3 assists in 3 latest matches.

“He told me he wanted to play under Arsene Wenger. Interesting, that he moved to Arsenal, and thereafter Wenger left the club. But he sees himself at Arsenal. It is his club, he loves them and wants to play there for several years.”
