VBET’s in-form ambassador Brian Hughes offers his exclusive views and looks ahead to Haydock on Saturday: “It’s been a quiet week, but it was nice to get a winner at Uttoxeter on Friday. TUPELO MISSISSIPPI has always been a horse Brian Ellison has liked and he got the job done. He’s a bit lazy and only does what you want him to, but he’ll be a nice horse in time and will get further. “Ahead of Haydock on Saturday, I’m looking forward to riding FRERO BANBOU (1.30) for Venetia Williams. “I’ve never ridden him before, but my agent Richard Hale is really keen on him and it will be great to ride for Venetia and his owner again. “Looking at his two runs in England so far, he jumps and stays and looks to have every chance.” “It will also be good to get the leg-up on ALBERT’S BACK (2.05). “He won really nicely back over hurdles at Wetherby last month and has gone up 5lb for that victory. He shouldn’t mind the ground and two (miles) three (furlongs) will not be a problem for him. “We’ve the (Colin) Tizzard horse (War Lord) to beat, but he’s a hardy, tough horse and hopefully he’ll go close.” It will also be interesting to see how SAM’S ADVENTURE (2.40) gets on in the Tommy Whittle. “I’ve only ridden him once before, back in March 2019 at Newcastle, but he won well that day. I finished ahead of Sam’s Adventure (fifth) when I won on Snow Leopardess at Haydock last month. “I’ve never ridden him over fences, but on his best form he’d have a small each-way chance.”
