Russia national team head coach Stanislav Cherchesov has commented on Liverpool and Egyptian national team star Mohamed Salah’s injury in press conference ahead of Russia vs Austria match.
“Mohamed Salah sustained an injury in the Champions League final while his team are one of the main opponents of Russia national squad. There’s an opinion that the whole team’s game depends on Salah, that’s to say, he is the leader. Will the game of Russia’s opponent be changed in case Salah’s absent?” vbetnews.com reporter asked.
“Do you mean the match that will be played on June 19? There’s lots of time and many changes could be occurred. I was worrying for Salah during the final as I was supporting Liverpool. I hope that Salah will soon recover and be able to play in the World Cup, however, we don’t care about it yet. We’ll see if he will be able to play and how much he will be fit. We’ll decide closer to the match,” Cherchesov answered.
