EXCLUSIVE: Ray Parlour nominates Arsenal’s player of the year

VBET ambassador Ray Parlour is convinced Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang should be named Arsenal’s player of the season. Aubameyang scored 22 times in the Premier League this season and also helped the Gunners win the FA Cup with two goals in the defeat of Chelsea. Parlour believes there were several valid contenders for Arsenal’s player of the season award, but is adamant the coveted accolade can only go to one man. The Gunners legend told VBET: “It’s not a very difficult job for me, picking player of the season. “There’s one player that always sticks out – Aubameyang. “He’s been superb and was very unlucky not to win the Golden Boot this year.”

Parlour added: “I think the goalkeepers have done well. Leno, before he got injured. Martinez has also come in and done brilliantly. “You look at midfield, Xhaka has got better under Arteta. There’s a lot more energy in the team at the moment. “But if you are going to pick a player of the season it’s got to be Aubameyang. “Let’s hope he signs and stays for another two or three years, going forward.”
