EXCLUSIVE: Goran Pandev speaks out on defeat against Armenia, Serie A and Cristiano Ronaldo
FYR Macedonia national team were defeated by Armenia National team (4-0) in the Group stage of the UEFA Nations League.
After the match, Macedonia captain and Genoa player Goran Pandev has spoken out to Vivaronews Sport journalist Alla Zakaryan.
How was the game? Have you expected that the game will end this way?
We expected after the lose to Gibraltar, that Armenia will be more motivated. But I think we had two penalties, that the referee didn't give to us and the match went this way. But I know that we will achieve our goals for the next matches. We are always motivated. We know after this match we have to forget everything and fight for better results.
What about your club, Genoa and for what you are fighting for?
We had a good start to the season. And now we will have difficult matches. I believe that Genoa will be in the middle of the table and we will be in the Serie A next season.
Has Cristiano Ronaldo's move to Juventus changed the way people think of Serie A?
For sure , Cristiano's move to Serie A is a big thing.
Your contract with the club will expire soon, do you want to leave Genoa?
I don't think about a move. I think I'll finish my career in Genoa.
