Exclusive: Arsen Goulamirian: “The Australians are tough"

Armenian-born boxing star Arsen Goulamirian expects “a beautiful duel” with Kane Watts in their WBA Super Cruiserweight title bout in France on Friday. Defending champion Goulamirian, 32, is VBET’s hot favourite to defeat the Australian veteran in the Accor Hotel Arena in Paris. Goulamirian, unbeaten 24 professional fights, is confident he can retain the title, but is still predicting a challenging battle against 37-year-old Watts. He exclusively told VBET News: “The Australians are tough. Kane Watts is not a great technician, but he has mastered the English way of boxing. “He has had 24 fights and he knows how to manage his rounds. He’s an intelligent boxer. He’s tough and he knows how to advance and how to retreat. “What is for sure is that he knows how to box. He has not come to lose. It will be a beautiful duel.” Goulamirian has not been in competitive action for 13 months, when he defeated Australian Mark Flanagan by a ninth-round technical knockout in October 2018. But Goulamirian added: “Being a boxer, it’s first of all about preparation. I'm ready. I can’t wait to box on Friday. “I have trained well, and the only thing that I want is to get in the ring andbox.” Armenian-based gaming company VBET is proud official partner of the fight – much to the joy of Goulamirian. He said: “Thanks to VBET for getting behind me for this fight. It's wonderful, because it's going to be shown worldwide. “In the countries that can bet – in Armenia, especially, because I am Armenian – I am very happy about that. It is beautiful.” Latest WBA Super Cruiserweight title odds from VBET: Arsen Goulamirian – 1.25, Kane Watts – 3.5.
