England national team boss Gareth Southgate has shared his praise for Emile Smith Rowe, claiming Arsenal star’s tight control is “exceptional”.
The Three Lions beat the national rivals, San Marino, 10 – 0 in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers, with Smith Rowe scoring once and providing two assists for his side.
The Gunners’ teenager has shown these results after being called for the England senior national team for the first time in his career.
And Southgate, who was impressed by Smith Rowe, didn’t hesitate to rave about the young attacker after yesterday’s match.
Speaking to ITV, he said: “I thought Emile has given a good account all week.
“His tight control is exceptional and he has to continue what he is doing.”
