Ex-Premier League referee gives VERDICT on Hourihane's DISALLOWED goal decision

Former Premier League referee Dermot Gallagher has given his verdict on Aston Villa's Conor Hourihane's disallowed goal against Brighton & Hove Albion. Referee David Coote changed his decision following VAR review, which found Wesley fouling on Matt Ryan before the goal. "The problem was the referee has Wesley between him and the goalkeeper. He can't see his arm across him, but he does have his arm across him. The VAR does see it, feeds back to them asking has he caught him, and it's a foul." Gallagher wrote on Sky Sports "He does get the ball, but it's a foul on the goalkeeper." he added. Aston Villa beat Brighton at Villa Park after Matt Target's stoppage time goal.
