Everton's "extraordinary" £43m target considered better than Paul Pogba

According to Italian outlet Corriere della Sera, Everton are interested in signing Lazio's Luis Alberto, as head coach Carlo Ancelotti is a huge admirer of the midfielder. Legendary Italian manager Marcello Lippi considers Alberto better than Paul Pogba and Lazio's Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, as he named the Spaniard when asked by TMW Radio to pick between them. “I would choose Luis Alberto, he has great quality,” said the 71-year-old, who was best known for steering Italy to the 2006 World Cup and winning five Serie A titles and the Champions League with Juventus. Alberto has previously played in Merseyside- at Liverpool, when then Reds boss Brendan Rodgers signed him from Sevilla in 2013. Alberto, whose transfer value is reported to be around £43million, has also been described as an “extraordinary” player by teammate Francesco Acerbi. This season, Lazio's midfielder has made 30 appearances for the Serie A side, has netted 5 times and provided 14 assists. Source- The Boot Room
