Everton have reportedly lost the opportunity to sign Santos ace Lucas Verissimo this January.
As Yerry Mina and Michael Keane haven’y shown their best form this season, Carlo Ancelotti’s side might be looking for a defender this summer.
According to The Mirror, the Toffees desire to sign Lille defender Gabriel for a £30million asking price this summer.
But it is now being reported that Everton missed out on another Brazilian defender in January, as Santos defender Lucas Verissimo claimed to be wanted.
The 25-year-old has made more than 150 appearances for Santos, and is considered as one of the best centre backs in Brazil along the way, even though he hasn’t earned an international call-up yet.
Ancelotti has allegedly targeted Lucas before, with Napoli Today claiming in 2018 that Ancelotti was keen to sign him.
