Everton pair in angry clash with Liverpool fans

Everton defenders Seamus Coleman and Mason Holgate were involved in an angry clash with Liverpool fans after the Merseyside derby on Sunday. The Reds' young squad have progressed to the FA Cup 4th round, after beating 1 - 0, with the Toffees' woeful record in the derby continued. Curtis Jones scored the winning goal during the second half of the game. Everton's players were criticised for not going over to their fans at full time as all of them immediately made their way down the tunnel except Djibril Sidibe. Yet, Coleman and Holgate have been involved in a clash with Anfield fans. Toffees captain Coleman was repeatedly asking "what did you say?" while Holgate, who reacted angrily to the taunts while passing the tunnel, was restrained by goalkeeper coach Alan Kelly. Speaking on the club's failure during the derby, Everton midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson told: "I think everyone is totally disappointed. I think the players are all different people in how they deal with the loss. It's one of those things. Yeah, of course usually more players go to the fans. It's not the kind of thing for the team not to do and I am sure in the future there will be more players going towards them."
