Everton dealt big injury setback ahead of Aston Villa clash, Benitez will be gutted

Everton have started the 2021/22 season in such an impressive way. After playing 4 games in the EPL, Rafa Benitez’s side have collected the same amount of points as the league leaders.

However, the Toffees face some problems as they need to go ahead without Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

The striker was withdrawn from the latest England squad due to a broken toe.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Benitez admitted that his injury situation is not improving.
“It’s what I said after the game. We have to wait some weeks, we don’t know exactly how many but he will not be available for two or three weeks."

Calvert-Lewin currently has a quadriceps problem, but despite Everton winning and scoring 3 goals against Burnley in their last fixture, he will still be a huge loss on today's Aston Villa clash.
