Helmut Marko has shared his thoughts on Max Verstappen taking the pole position in Bahrain.
Formula One 2024 season kicks off tomorrow and the qualifying took place today, Friday, March 1st, 2024.
Bahrain Grand Prix qualifying ended with Vertsappen on pole position, meanwhile Charles Leclerc finished second and George Russell was third.
Red Bull Racing had an incredible year in the past three years and are hoping to kick off the new season right from where they left off in 2023.
"We realised here that our superior performance was no longer," Marko begins to tell German Motorsport-Magazin.com.
"We found out that the track temperature was five to six degrees lower and could not translate this one-to-one to the performance of the tyres. We worked on that for two practice days and eventually the Max factor came."
