Arsenal beat Benfica in an intense battle to reach the last-16 stage of the Europa League. The first game ended with a 1-1 score and the second leg left to be the decider. In the 21st minute, Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang scored for Arsenal after an assist from Bukayo Saka. But Benfica scored an equaliser ahead of the half-time, as Diogo Goncalves netted an incredible free-kick.





In the 61st minute, Mikel Arteta’s side conceded a goal as Rafa Silva scored for the Portuguese side. In the 67th minute, Kieran Tierney has scored for the Gunners from his first Europa League shot on target.





Aubameyang saved his side from the extra time, as he scored the winner in the 88th minute to end the second leg with a 3-2 score. Arsenal reached the last-16 stage with an aggregate win 4-3.
