Europa League. Arsenal could face Chelsea in 1/8 finals

The Europa League last 16 draw is set to take place today at 12:00 GMT in Nyon, Switzerland - UEFA’s headquarters. From 1/8 finals there is no country protection, it means that Premier League sides Arsenal and Chelsea could be paired alongside each other, but UEFA could announce some restrictions ahead of the draw - likely preventing sides from Ukraine and Russia facing off. The first name out of the hat will play the first leg of the Round of 16 at home. The first legs will take place on Thursday 7 March, the week that the second-legs of the Champions League matches begin, with the return fixtures the following week on Thursday 14 March. The draw for the quarter-finals will follow on Friday 15 March, which is also the same day as the Champions League quarter-final draw.
