Arsenal played a 1-1 draw with Benfica in the first leg of their Europa League last-32 stage tie. The first half of the game ended with a goalless draw. But in the 55th minute, Pizzi opened the score after converting a penalty kick. A penalty was handed after a handball by Emile Smith Rowe.

The Gunners didn’t manage to earn a victory in the game, but they at least scored an important away goal. Bukayo Saka scored for Mikel Arteta’s side. It was Saka’s third goal in his 11th Europa League appearance.
