Ernesto Valverde’s verdict on Ousmane Dembele deal amid Arsenal links

Ousmane Dembele joined Barcelona from Borussia Dortmund for a reported £96million deal in the summer of 2017. Despite his high price tag Dembele struggled to nail down a regular first team place and has faced a number of disciplinary problems. The forward has been linked with a move away from the Camp Nou and was reportedly a £100million target for Arsenal in the summer transfer window. The summer deal didn’t happen but there’s still a hope for a January offer. Barcelona are preparing to face Tottenham in the Champions League on Tuesday night and Valverde was asked about the Frenchman during his press conference. He said: "We will solve it internally and in the best way possible by helping the player. "He is a player who gives us many things in the field, but here we have rules of behaviour that we hope will be the same for everyone. "We will try to solve this in the best way possible if we are able to get it right. After a 4-0 derby win, you expect a bearable day and nothing happens, but I have already said that we hope to solve it internally."
