Two Premier League clubs and both from the same city have already qualified for the ⅛ stage of the Champions League. Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City secured progression as they drew 2-2 at Lyon and are three points clear of the second-placed French side. Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United, meanwhile, qualified following a 1-0 home win over Young Boys.
However, there are two teams, which will head into the final round of Champions League group games looking to secure a spot in the last 16.
What do they need to do in their final Champions League games.
Jose Mourinho’s side are second in Group H and two points behind Juventus. The Red Devils will pass them into first if they win at Valencia and the Serie A club do not beat Young Boys away.
Group F leaders Manchester City will seal top spot if they draw their last match, at home against Hoffenheim on December 12, or if Lyon do not win theirs, at Shakhtar Donetsk.
