England coach praises ‘underrated’ Tottenham starlet

England U21 head coach Lee Carsley claims Oliver Skipp is underrated but insists the Tottenham yougster will keep on getting better.  Skipp enjoyed a positive start to the campaign for Spurs, playing all seven Premier League games so far and starting five of them in the process.  The 21-year-old is currently on international duty with the England U21 side and is likely set to line up against Slovenia, with manager Carsley highlighting his importance to the teams he plays in.
“I wasn’t surprised by how well he did at Norwich," he said, as relayed by Football.London.   “I’ve known Oli for a while. He’s very underrated. He’s one of those players that when they are not in the team you notice them.    “He goes about his business really well. Works on his game. I think he’s still got a lot of development to do.   “He’s going to get better, he’s going to get stronger. Physically he’ll improve the older he gets. He has outstanding ability and I’m sure Tottenham see that as we have as well over the years.”
