Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly contemplating the potential departures of three players in the upcoming January transfer window, a move aimed at addressing financial constraints and making room for new signings.
According to reports from the Daily Telegraph, the club, grappling with financial pressures, had to offload key players during the summer transfer window.
To bolster the squad and manage financial obligations, the Wanders are open to considering the departures of Fabio Silva, Sasa Kalajdzic, and Jonny Otto.
The trio, who have seen limited playing time under manager Gary O’Neil this season, could potentially leave on either loan deals or permanent transfers. However, the level of interest from other clubs remains uncertain as the January transfer window draws near.
Adding to the challenges, the Midlands outfit are expected to be without the services of Hwang Hee-Chan in January, as he represents South Korea in the Asian Cup.
Furthermore, the potential participation of Rayan Ait-Nouri and Boubacar Traore in the Africa Cup of Nations could further impact squad availability. Despite these potential setbacks, Wolverhampton are scheduled to play only one league match in January, facing Brighton on the 22nd of the month.
