Wijnaldum sends message to Liverpool teammates ahead of Champions League game against Salzburg

After 2-0 defeat to Napoli, Liverpool are preparing to host Red Bull Salzburg in the Champions League on Wednesday, October 2. Last season the Reds became Champions League winners but Georginio Wijnaldum says that although last season's success gives them confidence, they should focus on this season. “What happened in the past is always in the past,” said Wijnaldum. “We created great memories, but it’s not something we should think about. “Of course it gives us confidence if you are in a situation like that, but this is a totally different Champions League campaign - different games, different situations, different teams. “We just have to make sure we are ready and not think about last season.
