Jude Bellingham is set to miss next month's Euro 2024 fixtures due to an ongoing knee injury.
Dortmund's starlet is one of the most desired transfers ahead of the summer window. The 19-year-old won the Bundesliga Player of the Year, despite missing their final match against Mainz that resulted in a draw and robbed them off the long-awaited title.
In June, England's national team will face Malta and North Macedonia for the Euro 2024 qualifiers. Besides the possibility that Bellignham misses these two fixtures due to his knee issue, Daily Mail also reports that he might undergo surgery to overcome the recurring setback.
"He didn’t feel well before the game. He told us he didn’t feel ready to start and if we needed him, we could put him on for a couple of minutes. He was very sad and emotional but I’m quite sure he’s a winner," explained Dortmund's coach Edin Terzic on Jude's absence from the crucial final game.
Last week, Gareth Southgate announced the England squad to take on the first two fixtures this summer, and Bellingham was among the midfielders.
