Hwang Hee-Chan has contributed more than just goals to Gary O'Neil's new management era at Wolves, according to the manager himself.
The South Korean international has scored three out of the team's five league goals in the current season and is expected to be in the lineup as the Wanderers prepare to face Luton Town in the Premier League today.
Despite dealing with injuries since his transfer from RB Leipzig two years ago, the 27-year-old has earned the trust of successive managers at Molineux.
O'Neil, who took over as manager just before this season, emphasizes the significant role Hwang has played under his leadership. Speaking via Birmingham Mail, the coach stated:
“The main thing is his goals and then the second thing is his understanding of the game and the structure and how we try to do things. He has a really good intelligence around what we ask him to do. That is helpful when you are trying to implement something new.
"The ones that get it quickly and can start to knit things together are important for you. Channy has been that. He also shows a real good calmness and an instinct to arrive in the right areas as well to get goals."
