Newcastle United have returned to the Champions League after a 20-year absence.
The team's fate for the group stage will be revealed on Thursday, August 31, at 5pm in Monaco when UEFA officials draw the teams.
All 32 qualifying teams are ready, and the spotlight is on Monaco as the groups are formed. The Magpies are in pot four, which means they could end up in a tough group.
This could involve facing strong teams like Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and AC Milan at St James' Park in the upcoming months.
On Wednesday, the final teams secured their group stage spots after passing through the qualifying rounds as PSV, Copenhagen, and Royal Antwerp emerged victorious against Rangers, Rakow Czestochowa, and AEK Athens respectively.
In terms of pot placements, the Tynesiders won't face teams from pot four or pot one, including Union Berlin, Lens, Real Sociedad, Young Boys, Galatasaray, Royal Antwerp, Arsenal, Manchester City, and Manchester United until the knockout rounds.
From pot one, potential opponents for Newcastle include Sevilla, FC Barcelona, Napoli, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Benfica, and Feyenoord.
From pot two, they might face Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Borussia Dortmund, Atletico Madrid, RB Leipzig, or Porto. Pot three options consist of Shakhtar Donetsk, Red Bull Salzburg, AC Milan, Lazio, Red Star Belgrade, Braga, PSV, and Copenhagen.
The team will receive fixture details after the draw is completed.
