Manchester United will be eagerly waiting for the Champions League group stage draw, which will take place on August 31, 2023. The Red Devils will know their opponents for the upcoming 2023/24 campaign in the European top tier.
Following their top-four finish in the Premier League, Erik ten Hag's side are in Pot 2 and could potentially have familiar rivals in the group stage.
Pot 1 consists of champions from top leagues and Europa League winners Sevilla, who eliminated United from Europe last season. In this pot, PSG, Barcelona and Bayern Munich are the major threats.
From Pot 2, teams like Arsenal, Real Madrid, and Borussia Dortmund will be avoided. Additionally, no Premier League teams can be drawn against the Red Devils at this stage.
Pot 3 includes AC Milan and Shakhtar Donetsk, and potentially United's former Champions League opponents Young Boys.
Depending on the results of Wednesday's play-off matches, Rangers might join the mix, while Pot 4 contains Celtic, Galatasaray, and a Lens side that Manchester United comfortably defeated in pre-season.
