James Maddison has resumed full training while his Tottenham teammates were on a break last week, according to the latest report by The Athletic. This fact indicates the 27-year-old is now closer to a return after an 11-game absence due to an ankle injury.
Maddison, who hasn't played since the 4-1 defeat to Chelsea in November, is reportedly aiming to feature against Manchester City in the FA Cup on Friday as he intensifies his recovery efforts.
Despite the squad coping reasonably well in the midfielder's absence, manager Ange Postecoglou faced challenges with additional injuries to key players. Maddison, along with Manor Solomon, is eyeing a comeback, and Tottenham will also welcome back several players next month.
